i have ben doing some home work and i have been asking questions and i got suggestions for the Asus Eee PC 1000HE net book. is the one that i am thinking about thinking about good or should i go with the one that people suggested? or are they the same?

Can someone knowledgeable in computer help me with instructions how I can run my recovery disk without having to buy a usb cd drive since my asus eee 1000he doesn’t have a built in cd drive? I heard you can insert the recovery disk into a different laptop with a cd drive and copy the recovery disk there and then transfer the copy to my netbook by usb port. If it’s possible, can someone give me specific instructions how to do that. I don’t want to spend close to $85 for the cheapest usb cd drive just to run a recovery disk.

Which Netbook should I buy?

Im looking for a netbook. I just want something thats really small and compact so I can sit on the couch and use it without the weight being noticed ( Like a full size laptop) I Have Really big hands that is my only concern. I want to be able to bring it everywhere and have it last a good amount of time. The first two say it lasts 7 hour but ppl say it only lasts 4 hours I dont know about the third one.

I heard ASUS was the Best brand for these but not 100% on that.

Ive narrowed it down to these three but if you know of something better thats 300-400 please let me know!

I cannot tell the difference between these two… Other then the reviews saying the one for 319 is better sound and can run WoW etc…

This is the other one I like cause its blue and its a bit bigger but the reviews say the sound is horrible.. Its a 1000HE not the 900stuff like the others so how could it be bad?

I recently bought an Asus Eee pc 1000he, with xp prenstalled in it…
the hard drive has already been partitioned to two, with almost equal capacities…

now i’ve got the usb with ubuntu netbook remix image in it…

do i just proceed the installation on any partition?

or do I install it in the partition with xp, C:?

or do i install it in the partition without xp, D:?

Please, any help would be much appreciated…

Really cheap and good specs. However, it makes me wonder about the actual quality….Plus it runs Linux OS….

Apparently this is the ‘best one’ but is it really that big of a difference for such a rise in price? I mean, I was hoping to spend around 500 dollars (AUS) but if I’m going to spend 900 dollars on a netbook I might aswell buy a laptop, right?

- I just bought a netbook (Asus Eee 1000HE). I have had the AVG antivirus and Firefox installed. I also requested to uninstall Norton antivirus and Microsoft Outlook. Other programs I had installed are YM Messenger, Skypes, Adobe Reader, Open Office, and Internet Explorer.

The situation is that the netbook can find WiFi connnections and there are some that aren’t locked. I am able to connect to those which are not locked but I am not able to open any websites.

Can anyone tell what could be the problem?
